What does 12c mean?

(Pronounced "TWELVE C") Twelve (12) degrees Centigrade or Fifty-five (55) degrees Fahrenheit, which is the optimum storage temperature for wine.

The harvest began before the sun rose on the morning of September 29, 2008. The 2008 growing season had many temperature extremes. The Napa Valley was exposed to rare frost, while high temperatures were present during the harvest period.

The 12C grapes were not impacted by the diverse temperatures due to Mike Smith's attention to detail. Mike worked closely with the Beckstoffer team to accomplish another great vintage yielding 120 cases.

The wine aged 20 months in new premium French oak barrels from several Premium Cooperages.
